After five years working to accelerate the development of the electric aircraft industry I have finally realized my dream to fly an electric aircraft, thanks to Tian Yu and his Yuneec e-Spyder at Cable airport in LA. http://youtu.be/yiHghLHqt6M My video editing skills are in their infancy - perhaps like my ultralight A/C skills, but I get the job done. Soon I hope to fly an electric two seater that looks a little more like a "real" airplane :-) but I had no idea how much fun I had been missing - ultralights are fantastic!
Check out this profile that Outside Magazine did on me! Its always a bit disconcerting and somewhat amazing for me to note the inevitable and sometimes not-so-subtle inaccuracies and things that have been edited in (and cut out) of this and other articles about my work. But I have to say that overall it turned out excellent.
Two years ago while back country skiing with a group of 40 friends at Scottish Lakes High Camp I met a friend of a friend named Phil Klein. I found out that Phil was the organizer of TEDxRainier. Thanks to meeting Phil, those days of climbing, skiing, eating and talking led to giving a TED talk Last fall in Seattle. http://tedxrainier.com/12/speaker_lindbergh.asp Before giving my presentation I was visiting with friends in line waiting to get seats and we struck up a conversation with a guy named John Locke.
Ok, so after 15 years of a relatively consistent Lindbergh Gallery website, My website host went away and (more importantly) the carefully copied files with everything on them were lost by a well meaning friend - Ouch! Oh well, out with the old and in with the new... I am working through the process of building a new Gallery website and I'm going live soon with a bare bones site to build upon. I've got a lot of interesting work to share and a whole lot going on, so it promises to be a lot of fun.
